Detailed information is given regarding every aspect of rat care, including specific recommendations for cages, foods, treats, etc - but equally, if not more important, you are given the knowledge you need to make your own well-informed choices. As just one simple example, several specific high-quality rat food brands are recommended, but you are also given the precise information you need to be able to look at any brand of rat food & to be able to determine whether or not it is a healthy food for your rat. Personally, I particularly enjoyed the lessons on understanding rat behavior & trust building.
